GALWAY HONOURED THE LATE JAMIE KYNE
JAMIE'S PARENTS, BROTHER'S AND SISTERGALWAY honoured the late Jamie Kyne by naming the concluding bumper on the first day of their three-day meeting in his memory on Saturday. Kyne and fellow apprentice Jan Wilson died in an arson attack on their flat in North Yorkshire on September 5 last year. He was represented by his father Gerry, mother Madeline, younger brothers Brandon and Daniel, sister Cassandra and other family members.After presenting the prize to winning owner Joseph Logan, Gerry Kyne said: "I couldn't possibly put into words what people from the racing world, to friends and family have done for us to get us through what has been a terrible year. "It's very much appreciated. Jamie is still very much in our minds and having this race named after him means an awful lot to us."
